How to Get Ready for Summer Camp 2019

Hi Swamp Bloggers!

I hope you are having a great day today! Have you been thinking about summer camp recently? Well, there are less than two months until Week 1 starts! Woohoo!

If you still need to sign up for summer camp, you can visit our website and click under 'Dates & Fees,' or you can click the link at the bottom of this post. Regardless of if you are signed up yet or still deciding, here are five ways to get hyped up and ready for summer camp 2019:

1) Take a look back at last year's Bible classes.

These classes are available for you year-round and are a great resource, especially if you've forgotten about a lesson that really convicted you last year. You can incorporate these lessons into your studies, and you can also start praying for the classes and devotionals that will be taught this year.

2) Look back at pictures.

I can guarantee that this will put you in the camp spirit, because I do this every week for the blog! Looking back at old camp photos can really take you back to those moments of happiness and joy. A picture truly is worth a thousand words. Visit our Flickr here.

3) Fundraise those last few dollars.

If you are fundraising money for your time at the Swamp, now is a great time to get those last few dollars raised. As the weather warms up, there are more opportunities for outdoor fundraisers like car washes, fundraisers at the park, etc. Don't forget to get parent's permission before doing one of these fundraisers.

4) Start putting together your packing list.

I don't know why this is so fun, but it just is! Thinking about summer items like sunscreen and pool towels definitely helps summer feel just a bit closer. Don't forget you can always check Camp Swamp's packing list as a reference for your packing needs. Going through the list early gives you time to add anything you think of and go shopping for something you may be missing.

Don't forget to pack your A-Game for camp!

5) Sign Up!

Obviously, this is the most important part of getting ready for summer camp! You gotta sign up! Make sure to sign up sooner rather than later, so that you can snag your spot for your favorite week. Click here to sign up. We are excited to see all of you there soon!
