Different Together

Hello again, friends! Welcome back to the blog! As I’m writing this, the Mother Daughter is less than a week away! I am SO excited for an amazing weekend, and for all of the quality time that we’re going to get to spend together! If you haven’t registered yet, make sure to do so here. :)

This weekend, I got to go to ACOC Gwinnett for their International Service! It was so encouraging to see so many different cultures represented. We sang songs and prayed in all kinds of languages, and had some AWESOME food.

It was also really encouraging to get to see so many familiar faces from Camp! It definitely did my heart a lot of good to see some of you and fellowship.

Diversity is such a wonderful thing, even more so when it’s celebrated with God’s people. It’s also one of Camp’s values, written here:

Celebrate differences!  Whether you are an athlete, scholar, musician, or domino expert, your color, talents, interests, and quirks are accepted and celebrated…each tremendously adds to the cultural tapestry; then the words of Desmond Tutu come alive, “Isn’t it amazing that we are all made in God’s image, and yet there is so much diversity among his people.”

It’s always so encouraging to be able to fellowship and just be with God’s people and celebrate our differences. I’m so excited to see as many of you as possible this fall! Whether it’s at a retreat, or maybe even H@TS, I’m sure I’ll see you soon!
