As Long as it’s Called Today

Hello sweet friends! I am so excited to share another blog with you. This week's blog is extra special, though! We have the privilege of hearing from our brothers and sisters in Triangle. I'll go ahead show you what they had to say. Love you guys!

“But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called "Today," so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.” Heb 3:13

Even in these unpredictable times we can carry on the Spirit Swamp! No matter the craziness around us, we can foster life-long memories and continue to build relationships even when we are quarantined!  In the spirit of encouraging one another daily, we have attached an "Encouragement Checklist".  Time can pass quickly or super slow, we pray this checklist will help spread the encouragement around!   The idea is for each person in your house to have their own checklist.

There are three sections to help focus your encouragement: 1) Church friends, 2) Non-church friends, and 3) Immediate family living in your home. In sections 1 & 2, each person would make a list of church friends from their congregation or sister churches and a list of friends outside of your church they would like to encourage for the upcoming week.  The goal is to encourage each person you name on your list at least 1 to 2 times per week.  You check the date you encouraged the person.  The notes section could be used to remember how you encouraged them, something they requested prayer for, or what you could do to encourage them in the future.  Section 3 is very important as this quarantine carries on!  Sometimes we forget our closest family living inside our four walls!

Remember, encouragement takes on many forms!  You can send texts, emails, take walks together (of course with appropriate social distancing), pick flowers, write notes, mail cards, pray together over the phone, and video call people to see their face!  This is a time Satan can try to isolate us and make us feel lonely, but let’s use this time to connect, making those around us feel very loved!

We have included a pdf example with notes and an excel spreadsheet so you can amend the family section for your specific family!  Let the encouragement begin!
